Alexander Ekman is the wonderkid of the international contemporary dance world. He has choreographed original works for the Cullberg Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, Gothenburg Ballet, Ballet du Rhin, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, et al.

Alex was in New York last week beginning his research for A Swan Lake, a full length narrative ballet to premier with the Norwegian National Ballet in April 2014. The piece will take place in a 16 meter pool, filled with 4 cm of water on the main stage at The Oslo Opera House, exactly where a swan belongs.
