Last night The Lowline's co-founders Dan Barasch and James Ramsey hosted their second annual anti-gala. Lena Dunham, Diane von Furstenberg, Alan Cumming, Edward Norton, and friends were all there trying to get the world's first underground park, one step closer to being realized.

I'm not excited. Not saying there's a way to repurpose this space for mass-transit purposes again, but I'd want to hear from a competent third party that there's nothing even 40 years down the line that might make it useful again.
The underground park thing sounds interesting, but it really comes across as some serious me-too from people too poor or too young to get in on the high line action.
