Full disclosure: 1. I love the work that Creative Time does. It is important, at times irreverent, and always forward thinking. If you have money to give away, give them some. 2. I have an intellectual crush on Creative Time's President and Creative Director, Anne Pasternak (pictured above). She is smart, fiercely independent, widely respected, and she had on an awesome jacket last night. That being said, last night Creative Time had its Fall Ball and it was not very creative.

There were wealthy people, beautiful people, interesting people, (and at times, too many people), free vodka, the best sound system in the coolest neighborhood in New York City, and all the creative team at Creative Time could come up with was a wall with markers to draw on and mimes handing out fake roses dipped in rubber. Creative Time, you are responsible for Tribute in Light, one of the most widely recognizable public art projects, ever—and this is all you could bring last night? Come on! We expect more of you! We want a fun party!

Danielle Levitt, great photographer who just shot OUT 100 2013.

Jean Pigozzi, art collector with an awesome shirt and a boat that I want a ride on.

Jim Chanos, rock star short seller, art collector, and Democrat (who probably also has a boat that I want to be on).

Alyse Archer-Coite, Editor-in-Chief of Maker Magazine.

Lauren Rodman, senior strategist at Purpose.

Four eyed Caroline Polachek.

Andrea Mary Marshall, artist featured at the Fall Ball.

The queen of drawing, Shantell Martin.

Lovers.

The mime.

Boo(bs)ze.
