Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop has been in operation in Greenpoint for 60 years, the last 20 of which under the current ownership. Each year the pastry shop marks (a little under) the half-way mark for the New York City Marathon. Throughout the day, tens of thousands of runners pass directly in front of the shop and without fail, Peter Pan is on the streets encouraging (the slowest) runners with trays of (free) freshly baked donuts.

This is the same place that Tina Fey mentioned to Esquire:

The best doughnut? That's Peter Pan doughnuts in Brooklyn. It's a Polish bakery. We shot nearby once for 30 Rock. Its white-cream-filled powdered doughnut. And I really believe, when I first tried it, if I had a penis, I would put it in this doughnut. I finally understand what you guys are thinking about and what motivates you guys.
